Since childhood you have been surrounded by tales of glory and honor of your lineage—raised on them, steeped in them, they have become the very foundation of your identity. However, you are the second son, so aside from those tales, you have inherited only an unshakable conviction of being right in every matter and The Book of Affronts—your father's opus magnum. Within its pages, he wrote down all his reflections on defending a nobleman’s good name in any circumstances, in the face of any possible insult.

With a head full of stories, you set out into the world to seek adventure, love, riches, and fame. But above all, you intend to fight anyone for any reason. The whole world shall know your name—and the flash of your blade!

We Meet at Dawn is a solo role‑playing game in which you write letters home as a young, impoverished nobleman. In each letter, you describe where your journey has taken you, how you were insulted, under what circumstances a duel took place, and what strike felled (or nearly felled) your opponent. You will achieve victory when you defeat the most renowned fencing master who has grievously sullied your family’s good name.
